A protégé of longtime Chet Baker pianist Michel Graillier, Spira's jazz career has taken him from 4 a.m. basement sessions in the underbelly of Paris, through acclaimed collaborations with trumpeter Stéphane Belmondo and pianist Giovanni Mirabassi, to the cutting edge of New York jazz. Matt La Von has worked as a professional musician, performing and teaching, in New York City for more than 10 years. As a performer, his main area of expertise is as a jazz saxophonist, although he has also been prolific as a sideman in bands and on recordings that cover a wide range of genres which include Rock, R&B, Funk, Fusion, and Hip-Hop. As a teacher, he specializes in private instruction for beginner to advanced saxophone and clarinet as well as beginner to advanced jazz improvisation. Eli Degibri

Born: May 3, 1978

Born and raised in Israel, saxophonist Eli Degibri first began playing the mandolin at age 7 in an after school music program at the Jaffa Conservatory of Music. Three years later, after attending a jazz concert, he became enamored with the saxophone and switched his studies to that instrument. At 16, Degibri has already worked professionally with some of the major names in the Israeli music scene establishing himself as one of the leading musicians in Israel. Melvin Quinones

Melvin Quinones, also known as Melvin Llord, started studying saxophone by age 11, with the idea of someday playing in the local church's band. He never made it to that group, but that didn't discourage him from his passion for music. By the age of 15, he was recording music with local bands and slowly gaining popularity as one of the best sax players in western Puerto Rico. At 17, his talent was discovered by Andrew Ruiz, one of the most popular band directors in Puerto Rico, who quickly extended him an invitation to play with international Latin star Wilkins.
