Sean Mason holds a Bachelors of Music (Cum Laude) in trumpet performance, with a concentration in jazz, from Moravian College in Bethlehem PA. At Moravian College he studied under Alan Gaumer (Jazz Trumpet/Pedagogy), Lawrence Wright (Classical Trumpet), Paul Rostock (Jazz Literature), Gary Rissmiller (Jazz timing/Drum set), Tony Gairo (Jazz Composition, Jazz History, Jazz Arranging, Woodwinds, Jazz Theroy), Frank Giasullo (Jazz Piano), Skip Wilkins (Jazz Theory), Ralph Brodt (instrument repair/soprano trombone) and Dr. Neil Wetzel (Band Leading). He has also performed in master classes at Moravian with Delfayo Marsalis, T.S Monk, Bill Mays, Ravi Coltrane and others. At Moravian College he participated in the BIG Band, Combo I, Fusion Ensemble, Trombone Ensemble (soprano trombone), Brass Ensemble, Choir (as an actor), Intercollegiate Wind Ensemble, Wind Ensemble and Marching Band
