There are more than one artists with this name. 1) Scientist, born Overton Browne in Kingston, Jamaica, 1960 (and also known as Hopeton Browne), was a protégé of King Tubby, one of the originators of dub music. He came to prominence in the early 1980s and produced many albums during the first half of the decade. 2) A well known hungarian band. They play mixture of drum and bass, jazz, funk, and many other styles. Their lyrics are highly dadaist. They're also known as 'Tudósok' (which means the bands name in hungarian.). 3) The Scientist is an alias for Phivos Sebastiane also known as Pure Science
