Sanja Markovic

Sanja Markovic is an award-winning jazz composer (5th International Jazz Composition Competition in Katowice, Poland, 2018). She is a Belgrade born and based musician that has spent many years on the East Coast, US. Gemma Sherry

Subtle, precise, engrossing and delightful, accomplished Australian vocalist, Gemma Sherry pours her heart and soul into her music. Her interpretation of jazz standards is unique and refreshing.

Since moving to the U.S. eight years ago to study music in NYC, this soul-jazz singer, songwriter & saxophonist has released a number of house music records on various European record labels and is about to release her debut jazz album “Songs I Love” on her label Tunley Records. The album is a collection of her favorite jazz songs not just lyrically, but also melodically. Recorded in England with her trio, and reminiscent of the simplicity and pureness of music in the 1940s, “Songs I Love” is Gemma’s tribute to deep love for jazz.

As an independent artist with seven award-winning, globally informed and celebrated albums – he is blazing a trail from his east-African roots to the world. Exposed to and inspired by the likes of Miles Davis, Fela Kuti, Percy Sledge and Manu Dibango, Moreira’s energetic contemporary rhythmic compositions have garnered applauses across all six continents. Azar Lawrence

Azar Lawrence led a very musical childhood and began playing drums at the age of five and moved onto violin and piano under the direction of his mother Ima Lawrence. Ima, a gifted musician and teacher from whom Azar received his acute flair for all things music has shaped many successful musicians. Azar began playing with the USC JR Orchestra at the age of five. He played violin until the age of 8. He performed vocals accompanied by his mother during elementary school where she taught sixth grade and music At age eleven he began hearing a different musical voice. He was an accomplished pianist, violinist and vocalist in his own right at the time. He thought it was time to learn viola

Iman Spaargaren

Iman is a multi-reed player, arranger and composer. He has a distinctive way of playing and a very personal tone on his horn. Over the past years Iman has been busy with a wide variety of music groups such as Undercurrent Trio, StarkLinnemann Quartet, Voice of Monk, Iman Spaargaren Quartet & Septet, Captain Hook, European Union Quartet and Thelonious4. He is actively involved in the theatre piece My Father Held A Gun and the dance & music performance We Are The Everlasting Guests. In 2019 Iman will release High Tide Low Tide on Flea Boy Records with Undercurrent Trio featuring Guillermo Celano and Marcos Baggiani. In 2018 Iman released the album Pictures at an Exhibition with StarkLinnemann Quartet as well as a double album in 2016: Transcending Chopin II & III

Pernille Bevort

Tenor, soprano and alto saxophone (flute, clarinets), band leader and composer. Pernille Bevort was born in Denmark 1966. She started playing the recorder at the age of seven. When she was fourteen she changed to the soprano saxophone and a couple of years later she bought a tenor saxophone, which became her main instrument. Pernille Bevort was nineteen when she was first introduced to modern jazz, such as Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter. The following years her fascination with jazz increased with the characteristic creative element in this type of music. Pernille Bevort is educated at the Rhythmic Music Conservatory in Copenhagen, Denmark (1989-1993)

Profile Gerson Galante is a Brazilian multi- instrumentalist, bandleader, composer and arranger, whose musical fluency spans many genres, including Latin, Brazilian, Jazz, Classical, Theater, Modern, and Pop. He is currently lead tenor saxophonist with Orquestra Jazz Sinfônica do Estado de São Paulo, the top jazz orchestra in South America, and has toured with some of the most famous Brazilian musical artists for four decades.
