Matt Adams

Matt Adams is very active in the Central Ohio area as a saxophonist, composer, arranger and bandleader. His first CD, Case in Point, drew comparisons to John Coltrane, Wayne Shorter, Charles Lloyd, Joe Henderson, and Sonny Rollins. A 1994 graduate of Capital University, Matt has been on the scene ever since, playing with the likes of Branford Marsalis, Bootsy Collins, The Temptations, Bobby Vinton, Vaughn Weister's Famous Jazz Orchestra, The New Basics Brass Band, Madrugada, Brasillera, and his own Matt Adams Quartet. "Utilizing the amazing history of the tenor sax is a tall order for anyone, yet Matt has paid his dues and plays enough history to have made it 'in the door'...he has come up with his own direction, followed his own heart, and truly found his own voice

Adam Donohue

Adam Donohue has been performing and teaching professionally since the age of 15. He attended Berklee College of Music in 1996 and earned a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Composition with additional studies in Music Education. After graduating in 1999, Adam worked in the cruise line industry as a saxophonist and Musical Director until 2005. He then attended Washington State University and earned a Masters of Arts in Music with a major in Jazz Studies and saxophone. Adam has worked with great musicians such as Charo, John Handy, Jeff Coffin and Kevin Mahogany. Adam’s compositions are published with Walrus Music Publishing. July 2008- Currently living in Brooklyn, NY, jazz saxophonist Noah Preminger has been making a name for himself in the music community. Noah's playing and his group's concepts are influenced by genres ranging from classic to contemporary jazz, from hard rock to ambient music. He has performed extensively all over the northeast at venues such as the Hi-Hat (Providence), Scullers, Jordan Hall, Ryles Jazz Club (Boston), Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, the Village Vanguard, Cornelia Street Cafe, Smalls Jazz Club (New York City), The Bushnell (Connecticut), Upstairs jazz club, L'absynthe (Montreal) and Twins Jazz club and Bossa Project (D.C.). Bruce Bohnstengel

Now based in Plano, TX, saxophonist Bruce Bohnstengel attended the University of North Texas as a teaching fellow and played with the renowned One O’Clock Lab Band while directing the Three O’ Clock Lab Band. While at UNT he worked with jazz legends Louis Bellson, Marvin Stam, and Michael Brecker. You may have heard him in his many years on the Dallas Jazz Orchestra where he worked with such greats as Joe Williams, Bob Hope, Steve Allen, The Platters, Lou Rawls, and Tony Horowitz (trumpeter for Ray Charles). Bruce has received two Downbeat awards (Downbeat magazine) through his many large ensemble experiences and is now turning his attention to the small group. The new Bruce Bohnstengel small group brings the art of the ensemble to a new direction

Dave McMurray’s Blue Note Records debut, Music Is Life is a reunion of sorts, given the long history the saxophonist shares with the label’s president, and fellow Detroit native, Don Was. McMurray was a member of Was’ genre-defying unit Was (Not Was), first working together on the band’s self-titled 1981 debut. He’s played on all of the band’s albums and many other Was produced projects in the years since. is an artist with a passion for jazz and latin music, he has a unique, big, sensual, and very percussive signature sound, his music is a new refreshing Experience.Born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Velez began playing drums at age 11 before migrating to Tenor Saxophone one year later. While a student at the prestigious La Escuela Libre de Música in Arecibo, he also took up Soprano and Alto Saxophones as well as Flute. The Bomba and Plena rhythms of Puerto Rico, along with Cuban and Brazilian traditions, were among the biggest influences on Velez early taste in music. TONY PEEBLES was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, then moved to Philadelphia, where he has spent eight years studying music theory at the University of Pennsylvania (B.A.), and jazz saxophone at The University of the Arts (MM degree). He has studied saxophone with Chris Farr, Ron Kerber, and Ben Schachter. In 2000, he toured Europe with the Hamilton All-Star Jazz Band, including stops at the Juan-les-Pins and Montreux jazz festivals. Dwan Bosman

Dwan Bosman was born in Ft. Myers, Florida, and raised in New Haven, Connecticut, and Atlanta, Georgia. Dwan began what has become a career in music when he was in elementary school. His first instrument was the clarinet. Under the tutelage of his late grandfather Lloyd Smith, his father Dwight Bosman and his uncle Dwayne Bosman Dwan (The Bosman Twins) has been privileged to get the best hands on training in classical, and jazz improvisational techniques. Avram Fefer is an American jazz saxophonist, composer and bandleader, currently residing in New York City. He has been performing and recording internationally since 1990, with eleven album releases as a leader and many more as a sideman. He has performed with world-class musicians throughout North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, and enjoys collaborations with creative artists of all sorts, including poets, dancers, visual artists, DJ's, and digital sound designers, among others. His writings have been published in several books; his music has appeared in a variety of films and television shows; he has been teaching privately for over 20 years; and he has performed in several notable theatre productions —- director Ivo Van Hove's production of A Streetcar Named Desire, Melvin Van Peebles' Sweet Sweetback's Baaadaaaas Song, and BRIC Arts Brer Rabbit The Opera: A Funky Meditation On Gentrification
