Georgianna Krieger

Born: March 21, 1967

Georgianna Krieger began playing the saxophone at the age of 9 and just kept playing. She spent several formative years growing up in Denton Texas, a fabled jazz town, and attended the Arts Magnet High school at Booker T. Washington in Dallas. Her first musical memory is of Gerry Mulligan, so it’s not surprising that she plays the baritone saxophone in addition to alto and soprano. If you asked her, Georgianna would tell you she sees a direct correlation between gestural drawing, her visual art and jazz improvisation. “The media are quite different” she says, but the conceptual goal: “to explore a fleeting moment”, is the same.

Nonoko Yoshida

Born: 1987

Nonoko Yoshida was born in 1987 in Hokkaido, Japan. She studied classical piano from the age of three, and began playing the saxophone as her main instrument at age 10. During her school years in Japan, she performed in the local jazz scene with school friends and professionals in numerous cooperative bands, and her own units. In 2006, she moved to New York where she experienced a life-changing encounter with the Downtown Music Scene. Since then, she has been learning music in streets from the underground musicians themselves, attending concerts, rehearsals, recording and mastering sessions and seeing the mechanics of making music first hand

Matt Langley

Matt Langley has studied with Lou Marini of Saturday Night Live, David Baker, Ted Dunbar, and Stan Strickland. Since 1988 he has been a member of the Charlie Kohlhase Quintet (CKQ), recording three CDs, touring the United States, and performing in jazz festivals from the Boston Globe Festival to the Rutabega Jazz Jam. CKQ’s fourth CD, Dancing on My Bedpost, made the top-10 lists of many jazz critics in 1999. Langley has recorded with Ron Carter, John Medeski, Billy Martin, Chris Wood, Roswell Rudd, and others. He performs regularly with Tonkin Toys.

Adrian Cunningham

Adrian Cunningham is an award winning multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and world traveller. Originally from Sydney Australia and now based in New York, he is proving to be one of his country's top exports. With fluent command of the saxophones, clarinet, and flute, he is one of the finest multi-instrumentalists in Jazz. Proof of this is in the company he keeps, having recently recorded with Jazz luminaries Jeff Hamilton, John Clayton, and Ted Rosenthal with his latest recording Jazz Speak (Arbors), which broke the top 20 in the US national Jazzweek charts. Adrian is the recipient of the Hot House Saxophone Award for 2017

Mike Karn

axophonist and bassist Michael Karn has been involved in the New York jazz scene for more than 20 years, and in that time he has worked with many of the music worlds most creative artists. Michael started in music as a tenor saxophonist, and after graduating high school he attended New York University, where his teachers were Joe Lovano and Jim McNeely. After college Michael immediately joined the Ray Charles Orchestra, and spent 1988 and '89 touring the United States, Europe, and Japan. Michael appeared with Ray at the Northsea and Playboy Jazz Festivals, and at such venues as the Blue Note, The Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, and the Wolftrap Center for the Performing Arts. At the beginning of 1990 Michael resettled in New York, and since then he has been both a member of several top-flight ensembles, and an in-demand freelancer

Andrew Neff

Andrew Neff: Andrew was born in Lancaster, PA and began playing Saxophone at the age of 10. He graduated from the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music in 2000. While there he studied under the tutelage of Rick Van Matre. He graduated Cum Laude with a B.F.A. and spent the next two years playing professionally in the area. He has performed with Billy Hart, Cal Collins, John Von Ohlen, Jim Anderson, Art Gore, Barry Ries, Roger Humphries, Rick Margitza, and many more. In 2001 he spent a year touring the U.S. with Ray’s Music Exchange playing large venues like the Fox Theater in Boulder, Colorado and Park West in Chicago

Franck Taschini

Franck Taschini was born in Monaco, began studies of classic saxophone, but very soon turned to jazz with Roger Grosjean. His first inspirations were Stan Getz, Sonny Rollins and Archie Shepp. It is at this period that he met the very young Thierry Chauvet-Peillex. At the beginning of the 90s he suspends his musical activities and even intends to stop them. Diverse come together bring him to start everything again at zero and for ten years he participated in numerous projects. First of all, several experiments with Italian musicians: Di Gregorio-Taschini quintet with the saxophonist turinois Gigi di Gregorio, the Italian trio with Riccardo Anfosso and Fabrizzio Bruzzone, Hertask then Life Cycle with Alberto Micciche, and also Massimo Dal Pra quarte" with the pianist Massimo dal Pra and double bass player Giuliano Raimondo
