Donna Lee Saxophone Quartet was founded in 1999, and since then it has performed in numerous concert venues and has had appearances on radio and on television. The DLSQ performs arrangements of jazz standards, though the arrangements and originals of the 29th Street Saxophone Quartet and World Saxophone Quartet can also be found on its repertoire. The quartet aims toward recognizable sound through original compositions composed by Zdenko Ivanusic.

I began playing the saxophone at the age of twelve while I attended middle school at Hoover Middle School in San Jose, California. After two years of learning the fundamentals of the saxophone, I would attend high school at Lincoln High where I performed with the Marching Band, Symphonic band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Musical Theater, and Jazz Band. During my high school years, I performed with various bands and ensembles such as the West Valley College Jazz Ensemble, the Santa Clara County Honor Band, the Cal Poly Festival Wind Orchestra, and the Santa Clara University Jazz ensemble, where I had the privilege to perform with Tony Williams and Greg Bissionette

A San Diego native, Michael began studying clarinet at ageeight. He took up the saxophone at thirteen and performed inschool bands and orchestras, later studying composition andarranging in college. After graduate school in Texas, hereturned to the Bay Area and studied with the great JoeHenderson.
Michael’s has created several groups of outstanding musiciansthat feature his original music.. In addition, he has composedscores for documentaries, feature films and television for whichhe has a long list of credits.

Dylan Heaney

Dylan Heaney began playing alto saxophone at age 10. He was first attracted to jazz after joining the award winning jazz band at Washington Middle School in Seattle, WA. He moved on to become lead alto in the nationally recognized jazz band at Garfield High School and performed at venues in California, New York, France, Switzerland and Holland. After hearing recordings of John Coltrane and Sonny Rollins in middle school, he began private saxophone studies and continued with top teachers in the Seattle area throughout high school. After spending two years at USC studying with Jeff Clayton and Bob Sheppard, Dylan transferred to the Berklee College of Music in Boston

Ingrid Laubrock

Originally from Germany, Ingrid Laubrock started having music lessons at the age of four and began to play classical piano and sing in local choirs aged eight. Her first recording experience dates from that time, singing the solo voice in an arrangement for an a capella choir. Throughout her childhood she performed in church choirs and public concerts at the local music school.
In 1989 Ingrid left Germany for London where she took up the alto saxophone.
A year of studies with ex-Jazz Messenger Jean Toussaint followed in 1992. Soprano and tenor followed shortly afterward. In 1993 she met singer Monica Vasconcelos and guitarist Ife Tolentino, both from Sao Paulo in Brazil.

Bruce Greenwald
A graduate of the West Chester Univeristy School of Music, Bruce Greenwald created the Audubon Jazz Explosion 17 Piece Big Band in 1994. Bruce led the band for 10 years, founded a 7 piece Dixieland band called Dixie on the Side, and has performed on saxophone and clarinet all over the Delaware Valley. The Audubon Jazz Explosion produced two professional CDs. Bruce is currently performing with multiple big bands around the Philadelphia area and is a judge at high school jazz stage band competitions.

Quintin Gerard W. is a native of Norco, Louisiana. He attended Destrehan High School from which he was selected into numerous concert and jazz Honor bands in Louisiana and the New Orleans area. As a result, Quintin Gerard W. was awarded a scholarship in music to Loyola University of New Orleans, LA where he began his studies in Jazz Music Performance and Education. Katja Endemann has been performing with the New York based female big band “Diva” directed by Sherrie Maricle, rated one of the world’s best big bands by Down Beat Magazine. She became a member of the international hip hop band “Redheadphone” and recently joined the Off Broadway theater production “Any Minute Now” as woodwind player.
