Marcus Tenney began his love for music back in the 6th grade. While playing trumpet back then, he quickly became known for his solid tone and natural understanding for the harmonic structures in which he encountered. After winning the Louis Armstrong Award on his way out of high school, he went on to VCU to study with Dr. Rex Richardson, world-renowned trumpeter and former Joe Henderson sideman. As graduation came closer and closer, Marcus began to experiment with different musical genres and instruments, eventual finding that the saxophone connected him to music in a more satisfying way. He currently is playing saxophone with the likes of Reginald Chapman's new project, UTV, as well as making appearances with the No B.S

In 1992, Nicolas Masson meets Cecil Taylor in New York and takes lessons from Frank Lowe and Makanda Ken McIntyre. Back home in Geneva, he enrolls in the Jazz program at the Conservatoire Populaire de Musique de Genève with Maurice Magnoni as a saxophone teacher. I am a Saddleback College student pursuing a major in Jazz Studies. I am mainly a tenor saxophonist. I also play guitar, bass (electric and upright), and am learning piano, flute, and clarinet. I have one demo recording that I haven't yet marketed but you can find some tracks on my Facebook and Myspace pages. I have a quartet made up of my peers at Saddleback and a debut recording with them is in the works. I hope to get some support and guidance from any professionals here!
