Clarence H. Ward III is an American saxophonist and Trumpeter. Clarence began studying flute than saxophone at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School the age of 15 under the guidance of one of Baltimore's greatest educators and trombonist Charles Funn. Under Charles Funn tutelage Clarence Ward III won best soloist awards at 3 jazz festivals throughout his time in high school as well as received a music scholarship to University of Maryland Eastern Shore. After a couple years of college Clarence decided to join the ARMY as a full time saxophonist. Since leaving the army in 2001 Clarence has been a freelance Reedman and Trumpeter

Chris Johansen

New York saxophonist Chris Johansen has immersed himself in the jazz tradition. He has gained experience on the New York scene, as well as such far away places as The Netherlands and his hometown of Seattle, WA. Focusing on the music of the bebop era as well as the Great American Songbook, Johansen has worked with such greats as Dutch piano legend Frans Elsen and Seattle’s trumpet master Jay Thomas, among many others. During his years spent in The Netherlands, Johansen toured Ireland and mainland Europe with the group Equinox. Since moving to New York in 2014, he has collaborated with many of the jazz capital’s top straight-ahead players.

Pia Boda is a Tenor/Soprano Saxophone player and Composer. Was born in Los Angeles, came to Denmark 6 years old and grew up and studied in Copenhagen. Pia´s biological family were not connected to music at all, but her stepfather, a professional piano player, “stepped into her life”, when she was 12 years old and introduced her to Brazilian music. The local music school introduced her to the woodwinds and the recorder became her very first instrument. Saxophonist, reed doubler (clarinet, flute) and composer born in 1979, resident in Oslo, Norway. Anders studied to a master degree in performing arts at Göteborg University (Academy of music and drama) after completing his bachelor at the Norwegian academy of music in Oslo. With roots in the jazz tradition, Anders seeks out a broad span of influences which come to display both in his playing and writing. Studies of classical composition of the 20th century, Indian classical music and Maqam tradition of the Middle-East continue to make way for explorations in playing techniques, composing and theoretical development.
