Tara Davidson

Tara Davidson is a JUNO Award-winning alto and soprano saxophonist who has performed around the world at such prestigious venues as New York City’s Carnegie Hall, the acclaimed North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, the JZ Jazz Club in Shanghai, China, and The Kennedy Center, in Washington, D.C.
As a bandleader, Davidson has produced seven recordings since 2004 and performed on approximately forty recordings as a side musician. Five of her seven recordings as a leader or co-leader (Carn Davidson 9) have been nominated by the JUNO Awards for “Jazz Album of the Year”. Davidson has been associated with seven additional JUNO nominations for her work as a side musician with Ernesto Cervini's "Joy" project, Andrew Downing’s Otterville, Ernesto Cervini’s Turboprop (x2), the Mike Murley Septet, CBC Records’ “Jazz Legends Live” project, and Jens Lindemann’s Order of Canada Band (Yamaha Big Band member). In 2020, Davidson won a JUNO Award for Jazz Album of the Year: Group as a member of Ernesto Cervini’s Turboprop.

Saxophonist/Composer/Producer Dave Mullen offers a welcome dose of SOLACE to a world sorely in need of it on his invigorating new album on Mullsoul Music Records that features the exhilarating musicianship of a group of his masterful peers: pianist Jon Cowherd, bassist Hans Glawischnig, drummer E.J. Strickland and, in a pair of special guest appearances, trumpeter Jim Seeley. The album was also mixed by the Grammy-winning producer engineer Jeff Jones, a regular collaborator with Jazz at Lincoln Center. In early 2023, saxophonist and composer Oleksandr Kolosii presents his new project "Paws Up" released on the label Unit Records (CH) and featuring a special line up of musicans who made a significant impact on Oleksandr's career: Carl Winther - piano, Doug Weiss - double bass and Anders Mogensen - drums.
The music for this project began to come “into one frame” after personal changes in Oleksandr's life after marrying his life partner. “This is a very special project for me” says Oleksandr. Very fast specialized in jazz, she studies by multiplying the meetings with jazz masters: Rich Perry, Bob Mover, Eddy Daniels, Larry Schneider, Bob Mintzer, Grant Stewart, Dirty Dozen Brass band, Treme Brass Band etc. Strong of this experiences, she leads 3 bands: Tullia Morand Quintet, Big Band and Dixirella. Stefano Scippa Palleni

Italian born and resident in Bologna, Stefano plays differernt styles including jazz, world, classical, modern sacred music based on early sources, film music, interdisciplinary performances and solo concerts. Formerly a self taugh he later graduated at the Conservatory of Bologna. His saxophone tone is distinctive for its purity, warmth and dark full sound. His playing is volatile and lyric, rich of expression and details, while the character of the compositions is varied, being modern, abstract or either traditional, embedded with an archaic flavour. Stefano toured Europe and United States, played and studied with great musicians such as Steve Lacy, Markus Stockhausen, Tristan Honsinger and Joe Giardullo
