Vince Lardear
Vince Lardear is a native of Wilmington, Delaware. Vince was selected to the McDonald's All-American Concert/Jazz Band and the All-East Jazz Ensemble as a high school senior. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree and Performer's Certificate from Indiana University along with a Master of Music degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He has studied with David Baker, Jimmy Heath, Barry Harris, Lee Konitz, and Phil Woods. Vince placed third in the 1999 East Coast Jazz Festival's emerging artist competition. He is a former member of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra under the direction of Buddy Morrow and played lead alto with the Illinois Jacquet Big Band for six years until the legendary saxophonists death in July 2004

Julie Joslyn

JULIE JOSLYN (Alto saxophone, live electronics, violin, vocals) is a native New Yorker. She is the co-founder of the avantjazz duo, ICONOCLAST. Joslyn has played with the Indian-influenced rock quintet Church of Betty, and can be heard on MacLean and Ponomarenko's album "Music Without Computers" and as guest screamer on Doctor Nerve's "Skin." Joslyn studied for a number of years with soprano saxophonist and composer Jane Ira Bloom. In addition, she is a practicing psychoanalyst and painter.

Langston Brand
Born:
Langston is currently a junior, doing Independent Study at Healdsburg High School. He is also taking a full load at Santa Rosa Junior College. He has studied jazz improv at SRJC and with Alistair Ingrahm. Langston is currently looking at universities to apply to as an incoming freshman. At the top of his list are NYU, UCLA, Oberlin, Reed, and USC. He loves to swing dance and spends many Friday nights at Ellington Hall in Santa Rosa. He also loves theatre and is directing an original play by Chris Phipps in the fall of 2007.

Doc Stewart

Chris “Doc” Stewart is a retired ER doctor from the Mayo Clinic who now performs regularly with the his own group as well as several other local groups in the Phoenix area. A multi-instrumentalist, he plays saxophone, flute, and clarinet in a variety of musical genres. His chart-topping recordings include “Phoenix” (2005) and “Code Blue” (2016).
