Robert is a graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, and the University of Melbourne. He is a Trumpet specialist, having had extensive experience in performing and teaching professionally. Experienced at performing in a range of musical contexts as a cross-over artist, Robert is highly experienced at performing and teaching in all styles ranging from Symphony Orchestra, Brass Band, Jazz Combo, Big Band, Salsa Band, and Rock/Soul/Funk Band. Robert achieved an A.M.E.B. Grade 6 Trumpet certificate in his second year of playing at the age of 13, and Grade 8 Trumpet in his fourth year of playing. On completion of the V.C.E
