Tal Blumstein

Pianist and composer Tal Blumstein was born and raised in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Tal started playing the piano when he was 6 years old and soon fell in love with it.
At 15, he turned to the world of Jazz and popular music out of great interest in improvisation.
In 2012, Tal decided to move to New York City to pursue his musical dream. He studies at “The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music” from which he graduated with highest honors as valedictorian.
Over the years, Tal led various groups and collaborated with top artists in Israel, Europe, and the US.

Marta Karassawa

Marta Karassawa is a Brazilian pianist whose musical journey has been marked by an intense passion for music and a career defined by overcoming challenges. She was born in Niterói - RJ and grew up as the oldest daughter in a family of engineers and architects where music always held a special place, even if it was not a career pursued by her family members.
Early on, Marta showed a liking for the piano and began taking lessons at the age of 7, initially only as a hobby. However, her love for music deepened over time, and although se studied Architecture and Urban Planning in Brazil, her passion for music drove Marta to change her career course. Determined to pursue her passion, Marta began her transformative path to the prestigious Berklee College of Music where she received a scholarship. This experience gave her the unique opportunity to learn from jazz legends such as Danilo Perez, Horace Silver and Pat Metheny, and attend inspired workshops. Her dedication resulted in graduating with honors with a diploma in Performance and Arranging.

Tim Brey
Tim Brey is a Philadelphia-based jazz pianist and composer. In his diverse career as a bandleader, sideman, and solo pianist, Brey has performed with Terell Stafford, Renée Fleming, Houston Person, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Veronica Swift, Peter Bernstein, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Warren Wolf, Samara Joy, Steve Wilson, Tim Warfield, Rodney Whitaker, and many more.

Alec Orea
Born:
Formerly known as Alex Corrêa, Alec Orea was born in august 17th, 1981. As the son of a classical pianist, was at the age of five his first contact with the piano, but was at thirteen when he decided to follow the music path. At seventeen, Alex began his undergraduate studies at Universidade Estadual de Londrina - Brazil, which brought him into a significant contact with many sound environments, anthropological and philosophical studies, and skills aimed at teaching music.
By the age of 25, Alec moved to São Paulo in Brazil and focused on studying the development of a contemporary language in the context of instrumental music, and as a result he recorded his first album in 2010, entitled “Sintoma” in partnership with Adauto Dias, Nenê and Arismar do Espírito Santo. Besides being a performer he also worked as a teacher compounding the faculty of the Conservatory Souza Lima in São Paulo, Brazil.

Derrick Bounds
A native Chicagoan, growing up on the West and NW sides of Chicago listening to everything from James Brown and Duke Ellington to Scott Joplin and Sergei Rachmaninoff, Derrick Bounds begin studying the piano at age 11, at "Dorolyn Academy of Music" in Oak Park, IL (founded by Derrick's aunt, Dorothy Bounds in 1982), studying privately for 12 consecutive years under Ms Juanita Calermee. Later studying with various pianists including Alan Swain of Evanston, IL and Kevin Gainer in Waukegan, IL. and more recently at the Chicago Conservatory of Music studying Advanced Classical with Michael Ruiz where Derrick has been in preparation for a solo piano Classical and Jazz Recital. Derrick, began playing in church during his teens as well as playing in the Wilbur Wright College Jazz Big Band. Later graduating from DePaul University, BS Computer Science and also studying Music. Derrick has been giggin' around town and out of state since. Playing piano/keyboards behind live stage performances at Chicago's famed "Black Ensemble Theater" for 10 years gave Derrick unmeasurable experience playing in the music ensemble setting. Derrick has also played behind several notable professional talents as well. Developing a range of music genres to include Jazz, Classical, Ragtime, Pop, Gospel, Blues.... Composing, producing and performing is what he enjoys most, hence ultimately turning toward music full time after the IT position was out-sourced. In addition to Chicago, Derrick has accompanied artists in Michigan's "Idlewild Jazz Festival, in New York Times Square and North Carolina's "Black Theater Festival". Locally, he can be seen playing solo piano at the "Chicago Chop House" in the River North Neighborhood. Derrick's original music can be heard on internet radio world wide as well as his YouTube channel derrickboundsmusic hosting vlogs on various historic music sites.

He is an award winning composer who has written for ensembles of all sizes and is prolific in both traditional and jazz genres. As a performer he has released 18 critically acclaimed jazz recordings. He has performed and recorded with major jazz figures such as Chet Baker, Randy Brecker, Dave Liebman, Frank Rehak, Freddie Hubbard, Tim Hagans, Tony Campise, George Coleman, Pharoah Sanders, Marvin Stamm, Billy Hart,, Tim Armacoast, Ernie Watts, Arnett Cobb, Woody Witt, Ed Soph and Jon Faddis. His 1980’s recordings made extensive use of electronics, but always with acoustic piano at the center
