Peter Salett and Larry Goldings: The Carriage House Sessions is an exciting collaboration between two very distinctive, emotive musicians. Springing organically from a day when Larry came over to Peter’s place to “maybe write a song”, the two realized immediately that they shared a similar sense of what a modern standard might be, and a reverence for the craft of songwriting. Their influences ranged from Randy Newman and Harry Nilsson to Stephen Sondheim and the classic Tony Bennett/Bill Evans records of the 70’s.
