Okay, seriously, I just hit things and make noise. But I seem to be good at it. My parents both played music, my father with the Grand Ole Opry, with his own bands, with others, and as a studio musician; he played guitar, banjo, drums, and sax. But it was my mother who played the bongos on stage between the other acts I blame for my percussive nature. My grandfather likely also gave me incentive to carry this dream beyond childhood when the drum set I received for Christmas magically disappeared after I went back to school a week later. Arjun Bruggeman, world percussionist and session recording artist, is highly acclaimed for his unique hybrid of East-meets- West rhythms. At the age of 14, Arjun embarked on a touring career with punk rock bands. Tai "TMon" Adelaja is a percussionist, music technologist and sound designer living in the coastal city of Lagos in Nigeria. A trained journalist, Tai also moonlights as an arts critic and entertainment writer. A global music afficionado, he likes to write about music, musical instruments and music technology.

Tai is a trained master of the djundjun (an African bass drum), a competent accompanist on djembe, and a passionate scholar and champion of themes and concepts in global percussionism. Tai studied African drum and dance concepts with the late great Babatunde Olatunji in 1992 and completed a 3-year cultural residency program with master drummer Aidoo Mamadi Holmes' and Wo’se African Dance Theater in Washington DC in 2000.

Neeraj Mehta

Neeraj Mehta is an active performer and educator, having presented concerts, clinics and master classes in North America and Europe. With interests in a wide variety of percussive styles, Dr. Mehta has performed and recorded with numerous artists and ensembles including: Michael Udow, the Michigan Chamber Players, Alan Abel and Anthony Orlando of the Philadelphia Orchestra, New Music Detroit, Linda Maxey, Michael Spiro, John Santos, and Clyde Stubblefield of the James Brown Band. In 2008 Dr. Mehta was awarded a Fulbright Fellowship to study in Copenhagen, Denmark with solo-percussionist Gert Mortensen at Det Kongelige Dansk Musikkonservatorium (DKDM)

Alejandro Coello Calvo (born 25 July 1989 in León, Spain) is a Spanish percussionist and composer. Known for a rich diversity of genres and a delicate style, Alejandro has been illuming the percussion world both nationally and internationally. His works have been premiered in renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Berliner Philharmonie. He has been invited to perform, lecture, teach masterclasses and serve as jury in competitions by prestigious organizations from Asia, Latin America and Europe.​ His most recent project, the music album "One Minute Later" — a collaboration with Diego Barber, Eric Harland and Ben Williams — has just introduced him into the jazz scene. Currently he teaches at the University of Music Franz Liszt Weimar and runs an arts management, music and film production company Art Government which he co- founded.

After seven years of study with Buffalo Philharmonic percussionist John Rowland, and four years of study on full scholarship with professor John Beck at the prestigious Eastman School of Music, Ron Wagner came to California as the drummer for the jazz fusion group, Auracle. "Tat", Tatsuya is an award winning, accomplished multi-instrumentalist in the America, who is originally from Japan. He plays and teaches piano, keyboard, guitar, bass, percussion, drums, key-drums (the newest drum-tech on keys), and many more instruments. He is also a music theorist throughout the Boston area as well as in Japan, a member of the American Federation of Musicians/Boston Musicians' Association. Being an alumnus of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Tatsuya is a spectacular drummer and a recipient of the Zildjian awards and several scholarships. Through Yoshinaga Music and XTY Music Lessons, Tatsuya has been able to give back to the community through music
