Charlie Collins

Charlie Collins is a creative percussionist, free polyrhythmic drummer, and sound artist, based in Sheffield, UK. His work continues to explore the boundaries between pure sound and rhythm, frequently incorporating metal percussion and free improvisation. In the 1970s he was involved in the nascent “Industrial” scene, being an early member of ClockDVA, and founder of The Box, recording for cult labels Industrial, Fetish and Doublevision. He has received a number of awards for live performance and composition, worked in dance and theatre, taught improvisation at Nottingham Trent University, and toured the live soundtrack to Teinosuke Kinugasa’s silent 1920s masterpiece “A Page Of Madness”

Bonga Jean Baptiste
Gaston Jean-Baptiste, known as "Bonga", is a musical virtuoso who has been performing and studying traditional Haitian drum, dance and song since the age of seven. He began playing drums in his family's peristil in his hometown of Croix-des-Mission in La Plaine, an area of Haiti known for culture and history. Bonga is regarded as a master of the Afro Haitian drum, sought-after for his extensive repertoire of pan-African rhythms. A dynamic performer, accompanist, session player and educator, Bonga works on stage, in the recording studio, and in educational settings. He is one of the few drum experts and craftsmen outside of Haiti who continues to build traditional drums using techniques that are centuries old. Keith Flint is a percussionist specializing in congas, djembe, and assorted hand percussion (guiro, cabasa, shakere, maracas, claves, bells, hooves, hubcaps, rebar, et cetera). He also plays harmonica, and he'll occasionally bring out his oft-forsaken guitar. He is currently collaborating with other musicians on a variety of projects that include writing, arranging, performing, and recording. Jose Madera
Born in New York City, son of Jose "Pin" Madera, who was the first arranger for the Machito Orchestra, Jose spent 31 years with the Tito Puente Orchestra. While there, he served as a percussionist and later went on to become a musical arranger and the musical director of the Orchestra. A California native, this producer, songwriter, percussionist grew up listening to a very eclectic mix of music,from Johnny Cash to P-Funk. He began playing percussion in High School and soon became the hand drummer for the Afro-Haitian dance classes and the Jazz and Symphonic bands. He went on to study music in college, this is when he began studying Piano, Jazz Composition & Arranging as well as Producing and Composing his own music. He currently tours with with legendary 70/80's R&B group ConFunkShun and his own group the D. E. Chung Sextet. He has released 2 solo CDs "The DC Initiative" and "Clifton at Desmond."
