The drummer, composer and arranger Realcino Lima Filho, Nenê, was born in Porto Alegre. The self-taught musician is known as one of the best Brazilian drummers, ever. Nenê joined some of the most important Brazilian jazz groups (Egberto Gismonti, Hermeto Pascoal, Steve Lacy Quartet, The Jazz Band of Denmark, Stan Getz, Paulo Moura, Quarteto Novo, Trio a Pampa, Pau Brasil, etc.) and played with their side in Jazz Festivals, jazz clubs and theaters, in Brazil and all over the world. He also joined the bands of the famous singers, such as: Milton Nascimento, Elis Regina, Gal Costa, Maria Bethânia, Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Claude Nougaro (French singer and composer) Dick Farney and Ângela Maria, among others. Nenê lived and played in France for 12 years
