Kyle James

Iowa native, Kyle James, is a budding young saxophonist, composer, producer, audio engineer and soon to be graduate of Western Michigan University with degrees in Jazz Studies and Media Technology. Kyle has had the opportunity to collaborate with artists like Carl Allen, David Binney, John Patitucci and Billy Hart as well as study with Damani Phillips, Rich Perry, and Andrew Rathbun. His playing style is rooted in the melodicism of cool jazz while exploring the vigor and complexity of the modern scene in his rhythmic sensibility. The compositions on "Datum" are fresh and honest. His writing has a unique sensitivity provided by his wide range of influences and exacting harmonic schemes.

Dmitri Matheny

Born:
Celebrated for his warm tone, soaring lyricism and masterful technique, American musician Dmitri Matheny has been lauded as “one of the most emotionally expressive improvisers of his generation” (International Review of Music). First introduced to jazz audiences in the 1990s as the protégé of Art Farmer, Matheny has matured into “one of the jazz world's most talented horn players” (San Francisco Chronicle). Born on Christmas Day, 1965 in Nashville,Tennessee, Dmitri was raised in Georgia and Arizona. Attracted to his father’s collection of jazz and classical LP records, Dmitri began piano lessons at age 5, switched to the trumpet at age 9, and took up the flugelhorn at 18. Matheny attended the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, then the Berklee College of Music, Boston, graduating magna cum laude in 1989. After private studies with Carmine Caruso in New York City, Matheny became the protégé of the legendary Art Farmer, a formative relationship that lasted over a decade. Arnaud Dolmen

Constantin Krahmer

Constantin Krahmer studied jazz piano at the Musikhochschule in Cologne from 2006-2011. He plays piano, synthesizer and composes, i.e. for his bands Close Up and Offshore. With Offshore he has released three albums from 2013-2019. The band was in the finals of the Burghausen Jazz Competition and played at the WDR Jazzfest Cologne, Achtbrücken Festival, Jazzfestival Saarbrücken and many more. The debut album of his band Close Up will be released in February 2022. Thomas Heflin

Born:
Tennessee-born jazz trumpeter Thomas Heflin has been hailed as "a fluent trumpeter with a bright tone and a forward-looking style" by jazz writer Scott Yanow. In 2005, he placed second in the Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Solo Competition in Seattle, WA and has since been featured or mentioned in Italy's Jazz Magazine, The Pittsburgh Tribune Review and The International Trumpet Guild Journal among others. A recording artist for Blue Canoe Records, Heflin has released three albums on the label. Lorenzo Corrias

Lorenzo Corrias is a young bassist and producer born on April 11th, 2003 in Rome, Italy, where he's currently based. Music has always been an important part of his life, and at the age of 13, after hearing Marcus Miller's music, he decided to learn to play the bass. In 2019, in his first participation to Victor Wooten's bass camp, Lorenzo played Marcus Miller's "Power" on the stage. Victor Wooten was kind enough to shoot a video of the performance and send it to Marcus Miller, who responded "Damn, Lorenzo is trying to take somebody's head off!". Lorenzo's biggest bass inspirations are Stanley Clarke, Marcus Miller, Victor Wooten, Stuart Zender. Since 2018 Lorenzo has been playing at Umbria Jazz festival almost every year, and participated to the Berklee clinics where he met some of the musicians that have been involved in the making of his first official track. In Lorenzo's first single "Equilibrium" the style of the artist is very audible since not only he produced, composed and recorded bass on it, but also composed and recorded he vast majority of synths, programmed strings, horns, and mixed and mastered the track.

Tim Shaghoian

Tim Shaghoian is a Los Angeles-based saxophonist and composer. He released his debut album, Gentle Beacons, in 2020 on Origin's OA2 Records. Gentle Beacons features 9 of Tim's original compositions and a creative reimagining of the beloved jazz standard “My Foolish Heart”. All About Jazz called the release “a well-crafted work of modern jazz.” Tim performs regularly in the LA area and has had the opportunity to work with a number of the most respected creative musicians in LA, such as Mark Ferber, Vardan Ovsepian, Darek Oles, and Billy Mohler
