At this time, 01/21/2004, i'm setting up some recording and i can fill all that in later. most of my time has been spent as a sideman/bandleader. i teach music (jazz mainly) a lot. I am fortunate (and grateful) to be able to say that i play most styles of music (arranger/composer) as far as instruments, i play soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophones; flute, clarinet and harmonicas (chromatic and diatonic- blues/country etc.) i have worked with some great people in the music scene, and that keeps on going!!

Julien Wilson

Born: May 27, 1972

Julien Wilson is a Melbourne saxophonist and composer who has been a crucial member of the Australian jazz community since the mid 90’s. He studied at VCA under Brian Brown & Barry Duggan and at Boston’s New England Conservatory with George Russell & Paul Bley. Throughout the 90's he was an integral member of a number of highly regarded co-operative bands including Ishish, Festa, and the Swiss-based multi-national band, Snag. He has released a dozen albums as leader or co-leader, and his trio has been hailed as one of Australia’s most unique groups. He has recorded and performed with artists including Charlie Haden, Hermeto Pascoal, Nigel Kennedy, Hugh Masekala, Jim Black, Kurt Elling & the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, made long standing contributions to the Black Arm Band and the Australian Art Orchestra, and been a regular member of groups run by leading Australian musicians including Stu Hunter, Jonathan Zwartz, Paul Grabowsky, Jex Saarelaht, Aaron Choulai & Mike Nock. After spending extended periods in Europe in the late 90's, then living in Boston and New York for a few years, Julien returned to Melbourne in 2001 and had a very fruitful musical period

Tamara Murphy

Tamara Murphy double bass/electric bass/composition/arranging Tamara Murphy is an Australian bassist and composer with over 20 years performing experience collaborating with other artists, running her own ensembles, and is continually in demand as a side-person. She started playing bass at age 14, and studied music improvisation and composition in Melbourne, Australia. She has toured around the world with a diverse range of groups from classical chamber orchestras to jazz, soul, experimental and pop groups. She has been composing throughout her performing career, writing for many ensembles, including her quintet Murphy’s Law and her new group, Spirograph Studies

Eldafyre

Born: September 5, 1985

Eldafyre grew up in Shepparton, Victoria. His early 20’s were spent in the city of Melbourne. Now 38 he resides within the northern rivers of NSW or hidden in the mountains around Hepburn. His first official album was created in 2016. A dark jazz, smokey noir feeling with influences to the likes of Patti smith and Rodriguez. Josh Bennier

Born: October 17, 1995

Josh Bennier (born Adelaide, 1995) is an improvising trombonist and composer. After completing a Diploma of Music at the Elder Conservatorium at the University of Adelaide in 2013, he moved to Melbourne to study at the Sir Zelman Cowen School of Music at Monash University. Studying under Paul Williamson, Jordan Murray, James Macaulay and Robert Burke has been an invaluable experience for him. Josh was awarded the Marjorie Garner Orchestral Scholarship for Trombone in 2013 and has since been nominated for the Sir Zelman Cowen Vice- Chancellor's scholarship twice. Josh won the Monash Jazz Composition Prize in 2017 and was a semi-finalist in the 2017 National Jazz Awards at Wangaratta Jazz Festival
