Music was the heart of our home. I remember singing and dancing around the living room listening to my father’s record collection, which contained a variety of big band swing, The Four Freshmen, June Christy, Sinatra plus other vocalists and movie soundtracks. Singing in the shower was a guaranteed concert. The acoustics were great. Mom, after forty-five minutes, and inspired by the water bill would turn off the hot water to inspire me to come out.
