Born in COlombia South America. Grew up in El Centro a town 40 miles from Barrancabermeja. Grew up listenting to all the grooves from Colombia's north coast from Vallenato to Bullerengue, from Cumbia to Fandango, from Porro to Salsa. I fell in love with our afro-musical roots which is Barranca's local folclore. Ever since I was a kid my favorite music was not colombian actually brazilian. I love Bossanova and used to play guitar duets with my brother Alejandro who is a guitar virtuoso. At age 10 I was a part of a trio call "the rockets" where we played pop music from the time. My Dad used to play Jazz records often at home, great ones like Dizzy Guillespie. In 1975 we moved to the great city of Bogota were my love for Brazilian music grew stronger, I used to run and grab a cassette when I heard a Bossanova tune starting to play on the radio. In 1976 my dad suprissed me for my birthday and got me a home organ popular at the time
