Kate Garrison

Kate started her opera journey in 2005 at a 10-day workshop given by Pinkstone Productions. During that workshop Kate found a love for opera that has grown through the years. She spent the next 3 years studying voice with Metropolitan Opera principal soprano Carol Meyer Willingham in Salado, Texas. In 2009, Kate turned a new page when she attended the Taos Opera Institute’s month-long program in Taos, New Mexico. Upon her return to Texas, she began to study voice with retired Baylor vocal performance professor, Dr. John Van Cura. In 2010, Kate's training transitioned to SMU voice professor Camille King in Dallas, Tx
