Musician

Kadencia

Kadencia /Cadence/ noun - a word meaning a regular pattern of sound, used especially to describe the way someone's voice gets louder or softer. A band from Western Puerto Rico founded and directed by singer/songwriter Maurice Sanabria and percussionist Roberto Candelario. This ensemble of experienced musicians from some of the most well known bands in Puerto Rico truly exemplifies an avant garde Neo-Rican musical movement. They have blended traditional Afro-Rican rhythms such as Bomba and Plena with modern-day Salsa creating an audible feast. Originality is not up for discussion. Their first album "Kadencia-La voz del barrio" is a musical anthology years in the making
