He delighted audiences in Chicago for many years and is now based in New York City. The Jon Menges Trio includes Jon on trumpet plus guitar and bass. The group can also be augmented up to an octet. This flexibility is a testimony to Jon's skills as an arranger as well. Playing a large repertoire of classic jazz tunes and original works, the group can create smooth, romantic moods or get you on your feet with all styles of Swing, Latin, and Ballroom music. Mixing fresh and lively takes on popular composers such as George Gershwin and Cole Porter, as well as jazz masters such as Miles Davis and Wayne Shorter, the Jon Menges Group wins the hearts of audiences who like their music served up with style.
