J.J. Johnson and Kai Winding, the trombone duo of Jay & Kai, were reunited for this performance at the 1982 Aurex Jazz Festival in Japan. They led an all star band that included Dexter Gordon, Clark Terry, Kenny Burrell and Tommy Flanagan.
