Jens Larsen studied jazz guitar at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague from 1998 to 2004, graduating from 1st phase in 2002 and 2nd phase in 2004. At the conservatory he had lessons from Peter Nieuwerf, Wim Bronnenberg and Eef Albers. While there he got the chance to perform with Jim McNeely, Slide Hampton and Michael Brecker and follow masterclasses with Chris Potter, Kurt Rosenwinkel and Chris Cheek. Jens is since 1998 working as a musician in the Netherlands performing on Dutch venues and radio with Søren Ballegaard, Rene Winter, Bob Wijnen, Yvonne Smeets, Olaf Meijer, John Engels and as a guitarist of the West Coast Big Band
