“JAZZMENSOUL” A style all his own If music opens a portal to the soul, then musicians and singers ( for the most part one in the same, singers are musicians ) are the gatekeepers. They find their own personal ways to express the experiences of the soul. Whether it be the joy of found love and friendship, the anguish, anger and despair of love lost or unrequited, the call for change due to political unrest and especially the unwavering belief that “GOD” exists and is the only reason that we are able to translate these emotions into language. Enter Jazzmensoul, one such gatekeeper with a style all his own. His musical initiation was initiated, not by him, but by a teacher who chose him to be part of an ensemble to sing at a Junior High School graduation ceremony
