Iming Lin

Iming Lin is a classically trained, jazz saxophonist and composer, from Taipei, Taiwan. His musical journey began when he was six years old, when his parents decided to enroll him for piano lessons in the hopes that music would calm and discipline this boisterous, energetic six-year old boy. Few years later, Lin picked up the saxophone at the age of ten when his music teacher introduced him to wind concert band. Lin went on to study classical saxophone at Chinese Culture University and Shih Chien University. He won the Shih Chien University Concerto Competition in 2009 and performed Paul Creston “Concerto for Alto Saxophone” with Shih Chien University Orchestra at Taipei ZongShan Hall

Born in 2001 in Hackensack, NJ, Matthew Whitaker grew up surrounded by music. His love for playing music first began at the young age of 3, after his grandfather gave him a small Yamaha keyboard. At 9, Matthew began teaching himself how to play the Hammond B3 organ. Four years later, he became the youngest artist to be endorsed by Hammond—in its 80+ year history. He was also named a Yamaha Artist at 15, becoming the youngest musician to join the stellar group of jazz pianists. Jerry Pellegrino

Jerry Pellegrino grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey (USA). A born musician, he started taking piano lessons at age 8. In high school he added drums to his repertoire, and with his brother Jim went on to study at the prestigious Harlem Jazz Mobile in New York. Jerry moved out to the West coast in 1979, where he quickly established himself as a performer and teacher in the Los Angeles area. Still only in his 20's, he appeared in the 1984 Summer Olympics opening ceremonies, For the last 25 years, Jerry has been dedicated to teaching full time, bringing his love of music to the next generation of performers. Jerry is a firm believer in the power of music to better the lives of those less fortunate than he.
