Camila Ronza

Camila Ronza. Born on February 10, 1995, in São Paulo, Brazil. From an early age, she had contact with music because of her very musical family, who always inspired and encouraged her. As a child, she joined OSESP Children's Choir and performed as a solo singer, so she soon decided to be a singer and make music her profession. Camila completed her bachelor's degree in Popular Music Vocal Performance at Faculdade de Música Souza Lima, in the city of São Paulo, in 2016. In the following year, she was granted a scholarship from the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation to continue her studies in France, at the Center des Musiques Didier Lockwood (CMDL), where she graduated from the professional course “Le Jazz et les Musiques Improvisées”, returning to Brazil in July 2019. During her undergraduate course, she became a member of the Youth Choir of the State of São Paulo, and of Nômade, a vocal and body percussion group

Doug Stone
Born:
Doug Stone’s career has involved work as a touring musician, primarily with jazz trumpet legend Maynard Ferguson and his band, the Big Bop Nouveau, as well as with the “world-jazz” group Panoramic, and with a number of ensembles from Chicago, Illinois. His time on the road has taken him to virtually every corner of the United States as well as Asia, Europe, the Caribbean, and Canada. As a member of groups at Northern Illinois University, Stone had the opportunity to perform with Frank Foster, Benny Golson, Frank Wess, Jimmy Heath, Rufus Reid, Larry Ridley, and Carl Allen. As a member of the Birch Creek Academy Band he has performed with jazz luminaries Dennis Mackrel, Harold Jones, Derrick Gardner, Tanya Darby, Reggie Thomas, and Clay Jenkins

Axel Rigaud
Born:
Combining analog synthesizers and live wind instruments, Axel Rigaud constructs overwhelming soundscapes, plunging the listener into a hybrid musical universe where electronic and acoustic mediums effortlessly mesh as one. Starting in music at the ripe age of 6, Axel Rigaud began his saxophone studies at the Châlons Conservatory in the Champagne region. 20 years later, he graduated from the Paris Conservatory. For him, performing live implies taking risks, therefore his live performances always leave a major part to improvisation. Thus, his audiences become bathed in a swirl of electro-acoustic sounds which is always original and unique

Justin Pierce
Saxophonist Justin Pierce began his musical career in the musically diverse region of the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast. After beginning saxophone studies at age 12, he developed a passion for music in the middle school jazz ensemble. Since that time, he has performed across the United States and internationally, earned degrees in both classical and jazz styles, and taught at the secondary and college levels. Justin currently serves as Assistant Professor of Instrumental Music at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, where he directs the jazz ensemble and touring band, in addition to teaching saxophone, clarinet, and improvisation lessons
