Gili Lopes

Born in 1983 in Porto Alegre, Gili was introduced to music through the sounds of Brazilian folklore. At the age of 14 he started learning the bass as a self taught musician and soon after started playing with local bands around his state. In his early 20’s he moved to London where he started studying the upright bass. He attended the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he obtained a bachelor degree in jazz studies and worked extensively as a freelance musician in the United Kingdom for a decade after that. In 2013 he was invited to expand his studies in music at the Jazz Institute in Berlin where he obtained a Masters degree in composition and arrangement by the University of Fine Arts of Berlin (UDK)Gili Lopes has since performed in more than 35 countries around the world including Qatar, Canada, Bulgaria, Chile, Portugal, Jordan, South Korea and Turkey in venues such as Ronnie Scotts, Queen Elizabeth Hall, SummerStage in Central Park, Nice Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami, Seoul Jazz Festival, Frederic Chopin Philharmonic, Jazz is Dead in Los Angeles among many others.

Yasushi was born in Yamaguchi, Japan. He learned the cornet, alto saxophone and guitar at an early age. He switched to the contrabass when he became sixteen years old. In 2004, he studied at Osaka College of Music in Osaka and he took lessons from Mr. Terumasa Hino, Tomoyuki Kimura, Ken Sakakura. Yasushi started playing career as a professional from a student. He experienced performed with top musicians such as Othello Molineaux, Eddie Henderson, Lewis Nash. Yasushi has made 8 CDs as a leader. His own band “GINGERBREAD BOYS” got number one Japanese Jazz Band of “Jazz Page’s A Popularity Vote 2012” And he has recorded 10 CDs an a side man. In 2010, he started to produce concert event “CHANGES” series to introduce young jazz bands. He has made successful 10 times the event. And 2011, he founded the independent record label “OPEN E MUSIC”

Bruno Råberg is an internationally renowned bass player and composer. Since coming to the US from his native Sweden in 1981, he has made 13 recordings as a leader, about 30 as a sideman, and has performed with numerous world-class artists, including Kris Davis, Terri Lyne Carrington, Jerry Bergonzi, George Garzone, Kenny Werner, Sam Rivers, Tony Malaby, Billy Pierce, Donny McCaslin, Billy Hart, Bob Moses, Mick Goodrick, Ben Monder, Bruce Barth, Jim Black, Matt Wilson, Ted Poor, Bob Mintzer, and Mike Mainieri. He currently leads several constellations of his own Bruno Råberg Trio and the Triloka Ensemble
