Japhlet Bire Attias grew up in New York State, Central and Caribbean Mexico and Minnesota, surrounded by music from the very beginning. Fueling his desire to perform and create was everything from Yes, Emerson, Lake and Palmer and King Crimson, to Brazilian and Mexican music, Björk, French singers, Jazz, Classical and Jungle. At 22, after having been a guitarist for 7 years, he first picked up the stick and immediately started performing. From Stick seminars and festivals, to Jazz clubs and bars, to Progressive rock and Improvisation in duo and Trio settings in Mexico and the U.S., Japhlet has covered many genres and age groups in his musical expeditions
