Itai Dattner is a composer and pianist from Israel. His roots are in classical music. He was introduced to jazz in his youth and was influenced by different styles from Bach through Debussy to Bill Evans and Keith Jarrett, from traditional Jewish hymns to world music, Blues and Rock 'n' Roll. Itai has just released the first CD of his Cuban project Tranquilo en Cuba. This CD is the first step in a project he is running in Havana with a group of Cuban jazz musicians, all of which are teachers at ENA --The National School for Music and Art in Havana, Cuba. They are all professional musicians who perform daily in Havana and sometimes outside of Cuba
