Igor Osypov

Igor Osypov is a Ukrainian guitarist currently residing in Berlin where he attends the Jazz Institute Berlin (JIB) and studies with world renowned guitarist Kurt Rosenwinkel. Shortly after arriving in Berlin, he founded his Quintet, featuring some of his favorite musicians from all over Europe and the USA. Elias Stemeseder (Austria) piano, a fellow classmate of Osypov at the JIB, is one of the most in demand young pianists in Europe as well as being a regular member of avant garde drummer Jim Black’s Trio. Martin Buhl Staunstrup (Denmark) bass, is also a classmate of Osypov and Stemeseder at the JIB, and a current student of well known American bassist Greg Cohen
