Hans Vroomans

Born in The Hague, The Netherlands, Hans Vroomans began discovering the piano at age 4. He studied classical piano from age 9 and later jazz, pop and world music at the conservatories of The Hague and Rotterdam. Further studies brought him to New York City where he lived for five years. An offer to become the principal pianist with the Metropole Orkest made him decide to return to the Netherlands. With this cutting edge Grammy award winning orchestra he moves within all possible styles: pop, jazz, film and world music and has shared the stage and recorded with an endless list of artists which includes some of the biggest names in music: Vince Mendoza, John Scofield, Bob Brookmeyer, Kurt Elling, Ivan Lins, Lalah Hathaway, ….. Outside the orchestra he has toured internationally and performed extensively with Dutch singers such as Laura Fygi and Trijntje Oosterhuis
