Joe Purrenhage

Born: June 21, 1966

Joe Purrenhage grew up outside the Detroit area where he picked up a great interest in music including classic rock and jazz/blues. A short stint in the Air Force allowed him to come in contact with many musicians with different infuences and styles. Formal training was minimal with a couple of years of piano lessons at a young age and percussion in the high school band. However, he started to teach himself everything from bass and guitar to keyboards and synthesizer programming with a verocious appetite for knowledge. After the Air Force, Joe focused on starting an all original band with some friends and had some limited success with a pop/rock band called "Earthbound"

Mike Fageros

Born: July 8, 1951

Guitarist Mike Fageros first started playing guitar at age 13 and studied under the tutilage of Alan Massey who was a local guitar teacher where he was born and raised in Georgetown in Washington, D.C.. After learning the basics, he was then teaching guitar at Alan Massey studios a year later. At age 15 he was able to meet and later study with Roy Buchannan as Roy played at a local venue in Georgetown called the Silver Dollar. Moving to Baltimore at age 16, he took up residence at one of the most reknown jazz clubs in the area, Bluesette, which was owned and managed by the legendary Art Peyton. Once there, he formed a group known as "Rise" which performed side by side at Bluesette with a group known as "Urch Perch" which has achieved legendary status as a cult group in the Baltimore area

Vlado Turnsek

Vlado Turnsek, composer guitarist and soundexplorer. Many new ways of approaching composition and sound manipulation has been examined by Vlado in the recent years. Vlado has been in the music world for some time now, but has never favoured static repetition of well known music structures and therefore always is in the search for new directions in guitar music. Influences have been many, but always in the domain of classic , jazz , blues or expressionistic and experimental music of some kind.

Cyrus Pace

Born: August 22, 1972

In a world that often seems crowded with talented musicians, the light often shines on those artists who seek their personal voice at any cost. Cyrus Pace has spent the last 16 years doing just that. Through the fortunate contact with musicians who stressed the importance of self-expression and originality in music early in his career, Cyrus learned of the power of music as a tool of expression. The long and continuing search for meaning in music has lead to a realization for him that the guitar is not the instrument, the player is the instrument. He is as influenced by Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin, and James Brown as he is by Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Wes Montgomery

Rob Price

Born: August 26, 1972

Rob Price is from Massachusetts. He's been encouraged by his family to study music one way or another, formally or informally, his whole life. Before picking up the guitar in 1991 (one year after he moved to New York City), he played violin, viola and piano. In NYC he started playing in various free improv groups and in the avant rock band Dim Sum Clip Job, which released an album, Harmolodic Jeopardy, on John Zorn's Avant label. He began his own label, Gutbrain Records, in 2000.
