Tsuyoshi Ichikawa
Tsuyoshi Ichikawa was born on October 22, 1962 in Japan and began playing the guitar at the age of 14 years old. At 18 years of age he studied the guitar and music theory at The School of Music Plan for two years. At the age of 21 years old he began his career as a full time musician performing Jazz and Pop music in various clubs in Japan in addition to teaching private guitar lessons. In February of 1995 Tsuyoshi moved to Los Angeles, California to study the guitar with the legendary guitarist Ted Greene. He studied with Ted for four years for two hours each week and sometimes twice a week. During his time in Los Angeles, he also performed with Wilton Felder, Dave Pike, Jim Hugart, Mayuto Correa and many others. In 1999 Tsuyoshi returned to Japan where he currently teaches guitar, music theory and ear training at The School of Music Plan in addition to performing with different bands and singers as well as recording with other musicians as a sideman. Art of Life Records is proud to present Tsuyoshi's recording debut as a leader, "The Solo Guitar of Tsuyoshi Ichikawa".

Cedric Willems is a belgian guitarist born in Ghent - Belgium. First guitar at ten. First schoolband at 13. After playing in several bands (Graffitti, Electric Rendez Vous, Sundance ...) and jamming with a lot of belgian musicians, he now focuses more on composing and recording. Roman Matin

Roman Matin was born in Minsk, Belarus, in 1981. His father played bass guitar in local rock bands. Roman was interested in music from his early childhood, and to his five he knew almost all European and American musical groups. His first major hobby became art-rock. Later Roman was acquainted to the academic and jazz music. Among the favorite musicians he calls Lester Young, Art Pepper, Kenny Burrell, Wes Montgomery, Fred Frith; his favorite composers are Bartok, Stravinsky, Satie, Shostakovich. In music school Matin studied only the first two years and then switched to the private lessons. His first major teacher was his aunt - pianist Elizabeth Alexeyeva, who worked as a teacher at music high school

In the 2006-2007 school year, Michael participated in peer leadership programs and The Johns Hopkins mentorship program. He is a musician specializing in guitar. Michael II can also play drums, congas and African drums. This talented young man is the former lead guitar player and backup drummer at the Renew Hope Christian Community Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Dee Brown was born in Detroit, Michigan. His full name is Demitris Edwards Brown and he is the youngest of three children. His parents George and Roceal Brown exposed him to music at a young age. As a child, Brown can remember hearing Jazz from his father’s favorite artists: Miles Davis, Thelonius Monk, Charles Mingus, Les McCann, Cannonball Adderly, King Pleasure and Charles Christian. His mother, on the other hand, was into the Motown Sound. She would play music by the Four Tops, The Miracles, The Jackson 5 and James Brown. Eddie Benitez

Eddie Benitez was born in Puerto Rico and spent his early years in Europe where his father’s work had brought the family. Eddie’s family returned to the U.S. in the late 60s and settled in Brooklyn, New York., setting the stage for the start of Eddie’s extraordinary musical career. He formed his first band at 12 and began playing and winning Battles of the Band in Brooklyn. That got him noticed and signed with the premier Latin Jazz label, Fania Records.
In the summer of 1976 Eddie was launched onto the world stage with his debut concert at Madison Square Garden in front of 20,000 fans as part of the Fania All Stars. He was just 14 years old. His first album Nightlife, was released that same year and promptly went gold. Another gold record followed with his second release, Essence of Life. Eddie was 15 years old with two gold records, winning recognition as an astonishing young talent.
