Washington based guitarist and composer, Jan Knutson, incorporates elements of Jazz and Classical , Bluegrass and Pop to create his original works and unique takes on classic jazz standards. His music explores and stretches the wide range of the guitar as a solo instrument, showcasing his lyricism and virtuosic command. He has performed with some of the world’s finest guitarists including Frank Vignola, Martin Taylor, and Julian Lage, and recorded four solo albums, Looking Both Ways (2016) ,Out of Nowhere (2014), Tunnel Visions (2023), and Here's the Thing (2023). He has performed in several music festivals including the Savannah Acoustic Music Seminar, Richmond Folk Festival, True Blue Jazz Festival, Marlow International Guitar Series, and was an Artist in Residence at the Strathmore Music Center in Washington, DC.

His previous album on Moonjune called Dreamland Mechanism featured legendary Gary Husband on drums and Lincoln Goines on bass.

Biography Composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Marco Sinopoli has dedicated his training to the study of classical composition and jazz studying with many of the best Italian musicians and teachers. Over the years he has collaborated as a guitarist in Italy and abroad with various artists, in the field of jazz and pop music, including Fabrizio Bosso, Roberto Gatto, Nicola Stilo, Ramberto Ciammarughi, Alessandro Gwis, Lino Patruno, Baraonna, Peppino Gagliardi, Max Gagliardi, Sergio Cammariere, Francesco Di Giacomo, Francesco Fratini, Simone Alessandrini, Federica Mischianti, The Session's Voices, Primiano Di Biasie (Dire Straits) and many others. He has received various commissions as a composer from institutions such as "Nuova Consonanza", "Macerata Arena Sferisterio", "Roman Philharmonic Academy", "Paolo Grassi Foundation", "Seminario de Cultura Mexicana", "Academy of the Cathedral of San Giovanni", "Un organ for Rome "and collaborating with various ensembles and soloists including" Sentieri Selvaggi "by Carlo Boccadoro," Mexico City Wind Quintet "," Mitja Quartet "," Accademia della Cattedrale di San Giovanni "," Imago Sonora " , “Alessandro Carbonare trio”, Michele Marco Rossi, Samuele Telari, Bruno Paolo Lombardi, Andrea Corsi, Luca Cipriano, Alessandra Amorino, Angelo Bruzzese.
