Don Price

Born:
Hello! My name is Don Price. I am a Jazz Guitarist who has taught and played music for over 50 years. My current musical incarnation has been (since 2010) an ensemble called Jazz Gitan [pronounced j'tawn]. The music of Jazz Gitan is the swinging jazz of the 30s and 40s, plus a cross-section of songs from the modern Gypsy Jazz repertoire together with my original compositions. It includes latin, blues, swing, and pop styles combined to create a unique foot tapping and high energy Parisian influenced experience.

Rod Melancon

The mystery that is the music of the Louisiana bayou country has found few new artists who can honestly be regarded as champions of this unique American art form. There is a long ancestry of artists however, from the state itself, who have brought the music to the fore, like the funky country blues of Tony Joe White and the Cajun celebration of Doug Kershaw. Other than Lead Belly, few other artists have emerged from the swampy terrain of South Louisiana to national success. Morrow is forthright in his self-awareness, “Coming from a background with a love for all music, I found it challenging to nail down my style. Between everything I listened to, I saw a single commonality: honesty. Whether it’s Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Damien Rice, or David Ramirez, they all have these heavy truths woven in their writing that you don’t want to believe, but have to, because you’ve been there, you’ve felt that, you’ve seen those things

Jeff Saxon

While it’s difficult to attach a simple word or phrase to describe Jeff’s sound or songwriting style, one can easily detect its jazz, blues and old-school R&B leanings. The chameleonic New Jersey based artist has been likened to such artists as Eric Clapton, Keb’ Mo’, Bill Withers, Paul Carrack, Bobby Caldwell and Michael McDonald. But no matter what the comparisons are, Saxon’s vocal gifts are undeniable. IAE Magazine (I Am Entertainment) simply called it “a great voice” and a Minor 7th reviewer took it a bit further when they described Saxon as having ”…a voice that is utterly disarming...” Jeff's 2013 CD release, Blujanova, is a merging of blues, jazz and bossa nova
