Angelo Debarre

Born: August 19, 1962

Angelo Debarre, born in St-Denis, France, started playing guitar at the age of 8. In the manush (gipsy) community, tradition is transmitted orally in family parties and gatherings, where music always occupies a prominent place. Angelo recently confirmed this to Michel Bedin of Jazz Hot magazine: “In any gathering of three to four hundred caravans there is no shortage of music”. The gipsy jazz musical tradition launched by Django Reinhardt is the heart of this culture and Angelo Debarre quickly became one of its jazz masters. He founded his first group “The Angelo Debarre Quintet” in 1984, and the following year, he began touring the world with gipsy musicians

Diego Barber

Diego Barber was born in Lanzarote. There was already some musical precedent in his family; his great uncle was a pianist by profession and his father, in his youth, played the bass in a band called "Peppermint." Very early on in his home, his mother promoted listening to classical music. When he turned ten years old he was given as a gift his first electric guitar and he decided firmly to study that instrument. At that time, his musical preferences started to include jazz, as well as some contemporary guitarists. It can be said that since that period the debate had already begun within himself between these two musical styles

Richard Collins was born in New Orleans. He plays piano, trumpet, guitar and banjo. He has been a street musician since 1968. He has played guitar with Babe Stovall, Bukka White, Fritz Richmond, Paul deLay, and many others. He celebrates 50 years of guitar in 2009. Producer, guitarist and composer. Has released 6 albums as a leader, released mainly in Spain, Germany, Netherlands and Korea. Is member of the bands Menaix a Trua and Taima Tesao. He plays a duo with the kora player Ibrahima Kouyaté from Senegal. Has composed more music for film, television and music performances. He has published several books such as Guitarra Jazz, Harmonia en la Música Popular, Curso de Guitarra Moderna and Quan els arcs fan swing. He has directed several schools more music like Zeleste, Virtelia and the Aula de Música Popular of the Catalan Government. He was art director of the Mediterrania Fear in Barcelona. Has conducted orchestras playing modern music. Has won 4 Awards Enderrock (best album, best artist, best song and the music critic) prize Market Festival Musica Viva de Vic (best musician of the year in jazz and Improvised music), Radio 4 award (best record) and award for career from Festival Altaveu.

Paul Miles

This multitalented singer songwiter and musician (plays guitar,piano,bantar,and more has decided to go back to the basis of American Popular music "The Blues" and use this as venue to share hislove of music and spead his message of Peace to the masses. He had influences of James Brown, Jimi Hendrix and Richie Havens but decided to go back a little further to artists like Lightning Hopkins,B.B.King, Mississippi John Hurt, Furry Lewis for some inspiration. Thomas Handy

Born in Windsor, Ontario in 1949, Thomas is a self-taught guitarist/composer. His first influences were from his mother, a pianist, organist and teacher who appreciated all things musical, and early lessons in classical violin. By high school, he had found the acoustic guitar and began an evolving journey, beginning with an interest in folk, roots, blues and popular styles, followed by explorations in jazz, contemporary music and world music traditions. Since 1968 he has been active in diverse musical realms: as an accompanist for some of Canada's finest singer songwriters including Colleen Petersen, Doug MacArthur, and blues/jazz/ragtime singer/guitarist Mose Scarlett, a touring theatre group musician, and collaborator on Kingston and Toronto based jazz duos and trios

Namaya is the jazz poet, with his band, the jazz beat blues poetry ensemble, as a solo artist, sharing the stage with such jazz luminaries like Sheila Jordan, or in performances with jazz cats around the world. "Jazz poems are the sweet fusion of sound, images, and colors dancing with the music. My favorite performances have been where the music and the story is created on stage, a bit of Sketch of Spain from Miles, or a dash of the Bird's rift, a vivacious woman who saunters into the room, an e flat minor rifts into the memory of moonlight on the Anapurna mountains, or a theme suggested from an audience."
