The String Revolution

Based in Los Angeles, California, The String Revolution is comprised of three professional virtuoso guitar players who create distinctive sounds with their guitars: mimicking percussion, special effects, melodic grooves, bass lines, and more. They share a passion for many different musical styles and guitar techniques which has given The String Revolution a unique sound. This is evident in their studio recordings and live shows. A clear dedication and hard work ethic for the project brought The String Revolution together.
The band includes former Randy Rhoads student Janet Robin (named in the “Top 50 Acoustic Guitarist bonus list” by Guitar Player Magazine, 2017), who is also an acclaimed touring guitarist with the likes of Lindsey Buckingham, Meredith Brooks, Air Supply and more, award winning Austrian nylon-string guitarist and composer Markus Illko, and Cuban multi-credited guitarist Rober Luis Gomez (Jackson Browne, Colin Hay).

I began my life as a musician playing acoustic bass. Some bands I worked and/or traveled with include David "Fathead" Newman, Hank Crawford, Louis Hayes, and a number of other established players in Dallas and NYC. In 1988 I moved to Nashville and was signed to several publishers as a profesional songwriter.
For the last few years I have been living in rural Jackson County, Tennessee, continuing to write songs but have backed out of the commercial music business and pursue this as an avocation.

Scott Emmerman

Scott Emmerman's compositions feature dynamic guitar playing incorporating elements of R&B, jazz, & rock. Born in Chicago, Scott was steeped in the blues at an early age but became enamored with the music of Jimi Hendrix and later began to explore jazz through the music of John McLaughlin. He performed on guitar with R&B singer Walter Jackson and founded the band Treeborn, a local jazz-rock-folk fusion band that released an album on Dharma Records in 1975 featuring his guitar playing and compositions. In 1980, he relocated to Los Angeles and participated in recording sessions with Bobby Womack and Tim Weisberg

Angelo Tatone is a live and studio musician as well a composer, arranger and music teacher based in Vienna.
He plays electric, classic and acoustic guitar. His technique and his touch on the guitar is a result and synthesis of many years of practical experience in different music fields such as Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock but also classical and film music.
He recorded and produced several albums in different music styles and genres and collaborates with many bands, orchestras and musicians.

Thiago de Mello

Gaudencio Thiago de Mello (Barreirinha, state of Amazonas, 1933 - New York, 2013) was a NY-based Brazilian composer, arranger, conductor, band leader (founder of the Amazon big band which performed all Sunday nights at Sweet Basil-NY during the 1980s) and multi-instrumentalist (piano, acoustic guitar, percussion). He was brother of poet Amadeu Thiago de Mello.
Thiago got Grammy nominations for albums he recorded with Paul Winter and Sharon Isbin. He also recorded several albums with Brazilian jazz singer Ithamara Koorax (with whom he also toured in both Brazil and USA) as well as with Luiz Bonfa, Carlos Barbosa-Lima, Dexter Payne, Susannah McCorcle, Claudio Roditi, Carlos Pingarilho, Jorge Pescara, Anna Ly and many others

Gustavo Cysne

Brazilian singer, composer, songwriter, pianist and acoustic guitarist.
One of Brazil’s most promising singers and composers in the bossa nova style, Gustavo Cysne has subtle vocals in a breezy mood, that evokes both Antonio Carlos Jobim and Chet Baker, two of Cysne's deepest influences. His first released song, “Chegou Pra Ficar” is a tribute to the endless power of love as well as to the charm of Brazilian women, especially to the sensual appeal of the girls from Ipanema.
Produced by Arnaldo DeSouteiro for the Los Angeles-based label Jazz Station Records (JSR), this song features lovely and charming performances by some of Brazil's greatest musicians like legendary bassist Sergio Barroso (who recorded with Sarah Vaughan, Eumir Deodato, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Edu Lobo, Marcos Valle, Roberto Menescal), drummer Cesar Machado (famous for his sessions with Paquito D'Rivera, Claudio Roditi and Hendrik Meurkens), and flute master Jose Carlos Ramos (Ithamara Koorax, Jorge Ben, Gal Costa and dozens of others).
On his turn, Arnaldo DeSouteiro, who discovered Cysne, is regarded as Brazil's top jazz and bossa nova producer, having worked with João Gilberto, Luiz Bonfá, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Eumir Deodato, João Donato, Ithamara Koorax, Dom Um Romão, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Sadao Watanabe, Mario Castro-Neves, David Sanborn, Randy Brecker, Claus Ogerman, Marcos Valle, Azymuth and many more.

Hein Westgaard is a guitarist, improviser and composer from Oslo, currently based in Copenhagen. He can be heard in the post-minimalistic quartet Ototoi, his own genre bending project Hein Westgaard Trio, in ad-hoc free improvised constellations, or in the solo acoustic guitar format where he focuses on his own instrumental songs in the fingerpicking tradition.
The members of Hein Westgaard Trio met in Copenhagen in 2017, and since then they have deepened and matured their unique form of interplay, preparing themselves for the international stage.

Well versed in many musical styles, when listening to his recorded work, one can detect influences of jazz, rock, and blues.
