Giuseppe Doronzo

Born:

Giuseppe Doronzo is an award-winning saxophonist and composer. After classical and contemporary studies in Italy, and jazz studies in Groningen, he moved to Amsterdam where he became an active member of the European improvised scene. He focuses his research on the baritone saxophone, aiming to explore a vocabulary that goes through contemporary classical music, jazz improvisation and non-western music. In 2018 he released his first baritone sax solo album “GOYA” on his record label, Tora Records. In 2015 he recorded a solo piece for the dutch dancer and choreographer Cora Bos-Kroese titled “Two ways towards”, that was played and performed at the New York University (NYC)
