Gil Piger

Gilbert Piger is a classical artist trained in the Spanish School of Guitar, who has branched out to a more popular, yet totally acoustic, sound all his own. Schooled under such Masters as Narcisco Yepes, Emilio Pujol Manuel Lopez Ramos, and Jose Luis Rodrigo, Gil is now performing more popular and varied offering of musical selections. His unique blend of jazz, Latin, flamenco, and classical idioms combine to create an energetic new musical style he calls "Flamenco Fusion". Piger both composes and performs all of his own music. He has published some of his works in Spain and in the U.S. His proudest composition is his concerto for guitar and orchestra, "Concerto for '76", which premiered in February of 1980
