David Six

David (1985), grown up in a family rooted in Austrian Folk music, started out playing classical piano at the age of six. Soon it was clear that improvisation will take a leading role in his life. After studying piano at Anton Bruckner Privatuniversität in Linz, he left Austria to study Indian Classical Music with Manickam Yogeswaran in Berlin and later with Pandit Shailendra Mishra in New Delhi.

Casey Moir

Casey Moir is an Australian born vocal-artist, improviser, and composer of experimental music, based in Stockholm, Sweden.

Her artistic practice is centered around the extended capabilities of the voice. She enjoys testing and pushing conventional boundaries, exploring how vowels and consonants can be formed, distorted, and manipulated, and how sounds can be shaped and moulded using the tongue, lips, glottis and hands. She combines these somewhat unconventional aspects with other musical aspects such as form, direction, overall shape, structure and movement. She is also keenly interested in the concept of space and room and how these can be investigated in performance, improvisation and composition. This has her composing larger scale works that use a whole room as the scene and that can have musicians and/or audience being ambulatory, changing directions, trajectories and proximities to things, sounds and others.

Casey graduated from The Australian National University in Canberra with her Bachelor of Music Performance, majoring on voice, in 2005. Since moving to Sweden in 2007 she has also completed a Bachelor of Improvisation (2011), and a Master of Experimental Composition (2021), at the Academy of Music and Drama, in Gothenburg.

Faith Heleene Brackenbury

Faith Brackenbury is a violinist, violist, vocalist and composer based in the UK. She plays and sings with American drummer Tony Bianco and the duo released 'Rising Up'  in 2021, 'Wayward Mystic- Improvisations on the Music of St.Hildegard von Bingen' in 2022 (Discus Records), 'Sentient Beings' (with Paul Dunmall, Tony Bianco and John Pope-(Off) 2023, Prema (FMR-2023, Paul Dunmall, Olie Brice, Tony Bianco, Faith Brackenbury). Sentient Beings 'Truth is not the enemy', (Discus 2024) with John O'Gallagher alto sax, John Pope bass and Tony Bianco drums.

Bret Sexton

Born: June 16, 1974

Leader of Trio Fungus, Sanskrit, Bret Sexton ad hoc and Bret Sexton Trio. Played with Uversa, Cornbread, Filty Mcnasty, Phantasmorgasm, East Colfax All-stars, Dave Cieri and Friends, Sons of Armaggedon, Corruptor, Nightshark, Almira Gulch, and LOG.

Currently member of SeFa LoCo and recent collaborations with Hugh Ragin, Vinnie Golia, Sam Newsome and Walter Thompson.

Bonnie Kane

Przemyslaw Straczek

Born: August 15, 1976

Przemysław Strączek - jazz guitarist, composer, producer, graduate of the Academy of Music. Karol Szymanowski in Katowice, two-time winner of the Master Jazz Guitarist Competition. Marek Bliziński in Warsaw, one of the seven finalists of the global soloist Thailand International Jazz Conference Solo Competition in Bangkok. For many years he has been present in the ranking of the best Polish guitarists according to Jazz Forum readers - Jazz Top. In 2013, he received the Special Award of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage for artistic achievements. Since 2011, he has been co-creating international projects as a leader with musicians from different continents, presenting contemporary trends in jazz and ethno-jazz music

Fred Tompkins

Born: May 26, 1943

Fred Tompkins was born in St. Louis in 1943. After high school he played tenor saxophone in and around his home town for several years before beginning the formal study of music at the St. Louis Insitute of Music, in 1964. By this time his strongest influences were jazz artists such as John Coltrane, Art Blakey, and the Jazz Messengers and the M.J.Q., and classical composers such as Paul Hindemith and Béla Bartók.

His earliest compositions, as originally recorded on the album, Compositions of Fred Tompkins, showed a natural tendency to combine those genres into his own style. Some of the pieces tended to exploit a dramatic contrast between genres, but soon the transitions became smoother and the styles more synthesized. The best of those early pieces and the best pieces from his subsequent and more fully developed album of 1975, Somesville, can now be heard on the compilation CD, FANFARE 8, The Early Works. Nishad Pandey

Nishad Pandey is a Berlin-based guitarist, composer and teacher. Over the years he has developed his own relationship with harmony, melody and rhythm, with a deep interest in emancipating sound from the constraints of genre and style. His current work explores free improvisation, Indian-classical music and experimental pop. His debut album is set to release later this year.

Birgit Ulher

Born: 1961

Birgit Ulher studied the visual arts, which still have an important influence on her music. Since moving to Hamburg in 1982 she has been involved in free improvisation and experimental music. Since then she has developed an individual musical language. She works mainly on extending the sounding possiblities of the trumpet and has developed her own extended techniques and preparations for producing these sounds.

Besides this material research she is especially interested in the relation between sound and silence and connecting visual arts with music.
Recent works include videos and sound installations.
