Trumpet and flugelhorn player. I love swing, mainstream jazz and Brazilian Bossa Nova. Currently gigging with quintet. Also play at Old Town School in their Jazz Ensemble, lead by vibes player and percussionist David Jennings.

Larry Gatchel, "Gatch", is the leader of the new "JassCats" band. We are dedicated to keeping "JAZZ" alive by providing "free concerts" for non-profit organizations and discounts for others too!* In spite of all my years of playing since 4th grade, see the "MEMORIES", page, I stand in awe of the professionalism of our other band members! Barry Long

Barry Long was the inaugural Samuel Williams Professor of Music at Bucknell University where he currently directs the jazz ensemble and teaches coursework in jazz and music theory. Prior to joining the Bucknell faculty, he held similar positions at Mount St. Mary's University (MD) and Roanoke College (VA). Long was the first to receive a doctoral degree (DMA) in Jazz Studies from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY in May of 2007. He also holds a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from ESM while serving as a faculty member in their Community Education Division and as a teaching assistant in Film Scoring

Oskar Stenmark

Born: May 4, 1990

Oskar Stenmark grew up in Gothenburg, Sweden. His family contains generations of professional musicians, so Oskar split his childhood between the Concert Hall and the local jazz club. He quickly developed a musical interest, and eventually picked up the trumpet. After a Bachelor’s degree in improvisation at the Academy of Music and Drama in Gothenburg, Oskar moved to New York to pursue his musical dreams. He has performed with stars such as James Morrison, Dave Liebman and the multiple GRAMMY award winner Maria Schneider Orchestra. In May 2016 Oskar got his Master of Music in Jazz Arts degree at the Manhattan School of Music and continues to develop his playing and artistic vision

Jeff Oster

Born: May 31, 1957

Described as Miles Davis meets Pink Floyd, Jeff’s sound is unique, combining New Age beauty and progressive rock. Jeff’s albums feature esteemed contributors such as guitarist Nile Rodgers, iconic bassist Chuck Rainey and legendary drummers Bernard Purdie and Keith Carlock. Jeff’s accolades include: ZMR Album of the Year (5x winner), multiple #1 albums on NPR’s Echoes, and multiple Independent Music Awards.

Jeff is a founding member of the group FLOW, comprised of Will Ackerman, Fiona Joy, Lawrence Blatt and Jeff Oster, of course. FLOW took home this year’s ZMR Album of the Year, and the IMA for Best New Age Album. They are performing all over the continent, including a September 28 appearance at Carnegie Hall in NYC.

Carl Marche

Trompettiste, Carl Marche est très t�'t passionné de Jazz, il apprend sur des disques, à l’écoute des grands maîtres et se perfectionne en parallèle au conservatoire de musique d’Orléans. Grâce aux répétitions dans des ensembles pédagogiques où il découvre le jeu de groupe, il décide de monter son premier Combo de Jazz. Ensuite, il intègre un atelier Jazz dirigé par le saxophoniste Jean-Jacques Taïb et rejoint son Big Band : “Le Big Band Poth”. C’est l’explosion des rencontres ; en effet d’illustres invités tels que La Velle, T.S.F., Daniel Huck, Ronald Baker, Didier Lockwood..

Edy Toussaint

She is a singer/guitarist/composer/music therapist who has performed solo and in various groups, has been associated with an original rock musical that was performed at Lincoln Center's Guggenheim Bandshell in the mid-1970's and is being revived as we speak!
