56 The name of the group is based on a fragment of the "I-Cing" book LU - "The Wanderer". The wanderer's home is a road. Meeting various people on the road he has to contact them and work with them, independent of their roots and traditions. The music of Ensemble 56 is improvisational compositiosns emerging in "common space", between each musicians' experiences and preferences, uniting various stylistic elements in a "transidiomatic aesthetic". Mieczyslaw Górka One of the most famous polish drummer. He is co-founder of ensemble "Laboratorium" with which he played untill 1979. Among others he worked with Zbigniew Seifert and Czeslaw Niemen. Attila Dóra He had studied math and philosophy and graduated "buddhist teologian" in "The Gate of Knowledge" college in Budapest. Currently he plays on alto and tenorsax, prepared trumpet and build recycled sound installation with low-fi electronics
