Musician

Elizabeth Panzer

Elizabeth Panzer is at home on both the concert stage and the bandstand. She is known for finding an original voice for the harp in a variety of contexts. A true champion of new music, she has performed with most of the contemporary classical groups in New York City, premiering the works of living composers including John Cage, Eliot Carter and George Crumb. Not content to stay within the classical music genre, Elizabeth found herself drawn to the sound art and experimental music of the club and loft scene of New York City. Soon she was invited to join the ensembles of such jazz and experimental greats as Pauline Oliveros, Lawrence "Butch" Morris, Reggie Workman, and Anthony Braxton
