Mark Taylor - Drummer
Mark began playing drums at the age of five, and turned professional at 16. I have been playing drums professionally for over 39 years. During that time, I have played just about every style of music, i.e. rock, blues, jazz, country, gospel, folk etc. I have national and international touring experience with both Chuck Leavell and Curtis Mayfield. While with Curtis, I did 6 European tours including the Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland, Expo '90 in Japan, and toured extensively within the US. In addition, I performed in "live" TV and radio broacasts and video taping. Scott L. French
Scott L. French has traveled the US, Central Europe and the Caribbean drumming with a passion that comes from a love of the drums. His unique sound and approach to playing reflects the influence of Benny Benjamin, Jim Keltner, Bernard Purdie, Al Foster, Art Blakey, Jeff Pocaro, Jeff Hamilton, and countless great drummers. Born in Northern Iowa, Scott began his first drum lessons at age six with Don Jepner and big band drummer, Don Lincoln. Joining his first band at 11, he began studies with studio great, John “JR” Robinson (Quincy Jones, Madonna, Eric Clapton); jazz legend Jeff Hamilton (Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Brown); percussionist Dom Moio (Mose Allison, Herb Ellis, Ahmad Jamal); rock drummer Kenny Aronoff

Marcus L. Miller

Artist/percussionist, composer, and educator Marcus L. Miller is a multi-talented artist based in Southern California. Since his arrival in CA in 1993, Miller has worked tirelessly in the music and education fields, carving out a unique niche for himself and his abilities.
Miller is bandleader of his World/Jazz ensemble Freedom Jazz Movement. Miller founded the group in 1998 and since then they have played throughout the East and West coasts of North America. Miller writes the music for the group and usually performs with his jazz sextet. The group's size ranges from a duo to a 12 piece ensemble including three percussionists, a three piece horn section, traps, bass, piano, vocals, poet, and dancer. Based in Los angeles, the group performs often with the Lula Washington Dance Theatre at various theatres throughout the United States and internationally.

Peter Mosley

I've been a drummer most of my life. Having studied with some of the greats of rudimental and pipe band drumming, I consider the rudimental art my home base. I have instructed several national championship drum lines, played in a national championship corps and won numerous individual championship titles. Currently, I am a member of CADRE, play with the DOCA Ensemble and the CanGas Ensemble. I have played drums and percussion professionally for over 30 years and have toured and performed all over the world. Still love it!

David Cifelli

David Cifelli, currently a jazz performance major at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, has been studying drums since he was seven years old. By the age of 13, Dave was gigging with groups throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Throughout high school Dave continued to work as a professional musician and was actively involved in his school music program. Recently he has worked with Philly based musicians such as Tom Tallitsch, Jason Fraticelli, Keith Snyder, and Dave Homan. Also, Dave has worked with fellow up and coming jazz musicians such as pianist, Dan Rufolo. Over the past year and a half, Dave has been recording with bassist Danny Ladd on his multi-disc project called "Ride That Riff"

Garry Leonard

Garry Leonard After graduating from Eastern Michigan University on a full music scholarship, Garry toured the U.S. with brother Gerry, singer Leslie Kendall, and pianists Alan Broadbent, John Serry and Gus Sims. He settled in Kansas City and began a career in music education with the North Kansas City School District. He’s played with various groups in KC as well as the Starlight Theater, KC Chiefs Band and the Kansas City Symphony.

For a number of years, his only medium for practicing was quite literally weekly live performances in various churches throughout the New Jersey and Philadelphia area. Reliable and versatile, Matt brings something fresh to the table every time he takes the bandstand. Matt's approach to jazz drumming seems most influenced by the swinging tradition of those like Ed Thigpin, Mel Lewis and mentor Jeff Hamilton however, there is no doubt Matt possesses a sound all his own. In 2005, Matt graduated from Musicians Institute in Hollywood California. While studying in the Los Angeles area, Matt had many opportunities to learn from and perform with some of the best musicians in jazz music today. Since returning to Seattle, Matt's personable, kind demeanor has led to his demand as a contributor to the local jazz scene, as well as an educator within community schools
