Dr. Joyner is a 21st century American guitarist and composer, demolishing musical boundaries between such diverse genres as jazz, blues, avant-garde, ambient, space rock, and progressive rock. Dr. Joyner's roots lie in the blues. However, his recent solo albums Nature and Voyage (2014) showcase his ability to compose impressive highly-immersive and deeply personal compositions that are most similar to space rock and progressive rock.
