Dana Saba David

Born: March 20, 2000

Dana Saba is a dynamic and versatile musician hailing from Tel Aviv, Israel, and currently based in New York City. An accomplished double bassist, pianist, and composer, Dana masterfully bridges the worlds of jazz, contemporary, and classical music. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from The New School’s School of Jazz and a Master’s degree in Classical Double Bass from Mannes School of Music, where she was honored with the prestigious Homer Mensch Award of Excellence and a full-tuition scholarship.

Dana is the co-founder of Between the Bass, a groundbreaking bass duet in New York that pushes the boundaries of performance by merging the sounds of the double bass and electric bass

Marco de Tilla

Born: October 8, 1977

In about 25 years of career, Marco has played alongside most of the jazz musicians of Campania and beyond, gaining experience in every artistic field, from jazz festivals to theaters, from recording studios to television studios.

For several years he was professor of Jazz Double Bass at the Conservatories of Naples and Potenza, collaborating for a long time with the National Institute for Musical Development in the South (Ismez).

Graduated with honors in Jazz Music and Jazz Composition, he studied and followed masterclasses with some of the most important double bass players in the world, including Larry Grenadier, Dave Holland, Scott Colley, Furio Di Castri, Rino Zurzolo, Ermanno Calzolari, Aldo Vigorito, Piero Leveratto.

Evan Palmer

Evan Palmer (they/them) is a bassist, multi-instrumentalist, composer and educator based in Brooklyn. They specialize in improvised music and jazz.

​Raised in Hopkinton, Massachusetts, Palmer moved to Boston in 2018 to attend Berklee College of Music, where they studied with John Lockwood, Francisco Mela, Bob Gullotti, and Linda May Han Oh. They graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor of Music in Bass Performance.

​Palmer's music is a synthesis of many artistic influences, drawing from the jazz tradition, improvised musics from around the world, folk and country music, rock and roll, metal, and more

Jonny Gee

Born: October, 1974

Musical polymath, London bassist Jonny Gee was appointed as a professor at the Guildhall (coaching impro & small groups) has worked across many styles of jazz and other music, performing with artists including:

Dan Fortin

Born: January 26, 1985

Dan Fortin was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario. His eclectic tastes have led to work with a wide variety of artists in the jazz, rock and pop worlds, including Bernice, The Allison Au Quartet, Queer Songbook Orchestra, Emilie-Claire Barlow, Aline’s étoile magique, John Southworth, Serena Ryder, July Talk, Devon Sproule, Mike O’Neill, Laila Biali, Ethan Iverson, Bryn Roberts, Mike Murley, Will Bonness, Jon Gordon, Andy Milne, David Occhipinti, Tara Davidson, Harley Card, Michael Davidson, Alex Goodman, Zoon, and many others.

Dan is a co-leader of the Juno nominated trio MYRIAD3, along with pianist Chris Donnelly and drummer Ernesto Cervini. Together, they’ve released five albums for Alma Records, and have undertaken several tours of Canada, the USA, Europe, and Japan, including performances at the Tokyo Jazz Festival and Ronnie Scott’s International Piano Trio Festival (London, UK.)

Mike Pratt

Christopher Parnis

Born: December 8, 1999

Christopher Parnis is a multi-award-winning Canadian double bassist with a deep-rooted and broad connection to the jazz tradition. He has performed in clubs and festivals across the country, and has worked and recorded with a who’s-who of Canadian musicians such as Brian Dickinson, Terry Clarke, Robi Botos, Reg Schwager, Jocelyn Gould, and Allison Au.

In addition to enjoying a busy schedule of sideman work, Christopher is also an accomplished bandleader. In early 2024 he established a multi-generational 9-piece band of Toronto mainstay musicians and rising talents performing the horn arranging of Don Thompson, and since 2019 he has led a quintet in developing iterations performing and developing his own original music which was recently recorded and will be releasing as his debut full-length album.

Jazz Harbingers

Based in Melbourne, The Jazz Harbingers is the premier tribute band to Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers in the country. The Jazz Harbingers draw heavily on influences from albums like Moanin', Indestructible and Free For All, seeking to capture the energy of Art Blakey's multigenerational all-star band and convey its old school sensibilities to the Melbourne scene.

Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers is among the most prolific, seminal and iconic bands in jazz history. Running for a total of 35 years, the band has featured and mentored countless world-famous musicians, including Freddie Hubbard, Clifford Brown, Wayne Shorter, Lee Morgan, Benny Golson, and Cedar Walton.

Josh Machiz

Born: April 16, 1985

Josh Machiz is a Philadelphia & NYC-based comedian, musician and composer who's been confusing and delighting audiences across North America for over 2 decades. He's a 2-Time Barrymore Award Winner and co-recipient of an American Composers Forum Grant. He has created and produced works in a myriad of mediums including comedy, ballet, circus, theater, music, augmented reality, etc. 

The New York Times described his music as “What the mail sounds like,” dosage Magazine calls him "Philadelphia's giant musical force." Josh's music has been featured on NPR's Jazz Night in America and his comedy is featured on Amazon Prime
