Diego Perugini Diego Perugini was born in Sarteano (Siena, Italy) the 23rd of march 1976. When he was 6 years old he began musical studies at the music school of his small town. At 8 he joined the citizen's band as clarinetist and won an european contest (in Germany). When he was 13 his elder brother brought at home a classical guitar and a new love was born: during the Christmas holidays he learned all basic chords and the next year he was ready for his first electric guitar. After an initial period as self-taught, he studied in parallel classic and electric guitar. In 1993 he began to study jazz music in Milan (“CPM”) and in Siena (“Siena Jazz Foundation”); in 1996 he won an european limited-number scholarship obtaining the certificate “Highly qualified jazz professional player”. He played in several youth bands exploring music and different genres
